A Laborious Day!

Happy Labour Day if you are Canadian- and Happy Labor Day if you are American!
It really was a day of labor at our house. Lots to do and really, most of it got done.
Lots of bathroom cleaning. Lots of lesson planning. Lots of laundry- which gives me the perfect opportunity to introduce you to my new washer and dryer- Ok, so they belong to the navy, but they brought me a new set about a week ago...... and I am really enjoying the front loading washer!
Aggie's days are never too full of laborious activities- but I will say the old dog has learned a new trick. She will now bring her kong to you in the kitchen so that you will put a cookie in it. Its become our number one way to stop her perpetual barking..... she has gotten so old that she will bark from any room she is in until you come and attend to her. Very high maintenance......
Kevin's labor day was spent running around with the family, ending with a vacuuming of the house...... very labor intense. Don't think he didn't enjoy any leisure activities this weekend- college football is back in swing! The reason I can say this with assurance is that yesterday during church Kevin had my iphone streaming scores of the Texas A & M game. I am sure the pastor didn't notice the glow of the phone hidden under the bulletin......
The girls did the usual acts of labor this weekend- putting away laundry, cleaning up their room, homework and of course some arguing with each other.
This next photo shows what their arguing usually comes to:
Caught this on film when I was trying to get a picture of them together for my phone file- it ended in a brawl.

The biggest and most impressive work for the girls today was a "labor of love"-they saw the Lego Harry Potter Wii video game at the exchange, decided they wanted it and agreed to pay half each of their own money to buy it........ all this with no parental prodding, no arguing and no negative comments about having to share.
So their Labor Day evening was spent on the couch, working together to unlock the secrets of the Harry Potter game. Love to see them working together and enjoying each others company!
Especially since you consider that they came all the way from the brawling photo to get there....
